Abstract

The present study identifies the major push factor and major pull factor influencing tourist visits to the tourism destination of Bali, Indonesia. Bali Province is not endowed with natural resources to drive its economy but rather relies heavily on tourism as its leading sector in achieving economic growth. Against the backdrop of Bali's heavy dependence on tourism, it is necessary to conduct an analysis of how to survive the fierce tourism competition. Visitors can explore ancient temples, attend traditional dance performances, and participate in Balinese ceremonies and rituals, providing them with a deeper understanding of the island's cultural identity. Push factors are those that make a person want to travel and they are mainly internal psychology motives. The pull factor is an external factor that affects a person's travels to fulfill needs or desires. The person will choose one destination that fulfills their needs and desires. This research uses qualitative and quantitative analysis which uses factor analysis and descriptive qualitative. Result of this research shows that there are three major push factors namely status and personal development (F2), culture (F1), and inter-personal relationship (F4), and there are four major pull factors namely people (F10), atmosphere and climate (F6), security and hygiene (F11), and opportunities for outdoor activities (F12) the tourists visit Bali tourism destination, Indonesia. Novelty of this research, there are three major push factors and there are four major pull factors the tourists visit to Bali. From the moment travelers set foot on the island, they are greeted with genuine smiles and gracious hospitality, leaving a lasting impression and beckoning them to return. Whether seeking relaxation, adventure, or spiritual rejuvenation, Bali promises an unforgettable journey that leaves a lasting impression on all who visit.
