Abstract

LASER welding is a welding technology in which high quality welds are produced with the help of high energy density laser. This paper will review laser types which are available for welding, advantages of method, range of application in industry and also summarizes the performance potential and strength aspects of LASER weld depending upon various test carried on it like microhardness test, tensile test, etc. This paper also provides the study about the microstructure of laser weld. This paper gives review on the experimental relation between various parameters affecting laser welding.
