Abstract

Energy management is an essential process of planning and operation of energy related to production and consumption. There have been several goals and provisions for the improvement of energy efficiency by incentives for investments in modernization of the energy infrastructure based on the fact that the cost of generating energy is greater than the costs for savings. Electronic questionnaire has been conducted on the internet for the occupants of several types of residential buildings in Iraq. The question forms were sent to the 150 samples and managed to obtain 104 responses. The samples of this form include several questions, including what is related to the perpetrator of the questionnaire itself. The collection of data was analysed by the SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science) version 22. The results from developed questionnaires were interpreted statistically and analysed. This study presents four factors, three independent (motivation Mo, management Ma, awareness Aw) and the fourth factor is dependent (reducing energy consumption (ReEn)) in residential buildings sector.
