Abstract

A rapid in vitro method for propagation of Solanum surattense Burm. F. was developed. Leaf explants were cultured on MS medium supplemented with different concentration of BAP (4.44 17.76 M/l) and KIN (4.65 - 18.60 M/l) in combination with NAA (2.69 M/l). Shoot buds initiated on the surface of the explants after 10 days of inoculation. The number of shoots was increased in subsequent subcultures. The well developed shoots were excised and rooted on MS medium supplemented with IBA (4.90 14.70 M/l). All the regenerated plants were successfully acclimatized in natural environment.
