Abstract

There are mainly two types of injuries: acute injuries and overuse injuries, the overuse injuries are
more common in sports than acute injuries, they are subtle and usually occur over time, making them
challenging to diagnose and treat. In almost all the sports activity, the shoulders are disproportionately
being involved to perform an needful act of great strength, speed, and tolerance — for all these feats
the structures of shoulder was not well suited anatomically . Unfortunately, such constant strain &
stress is significantly tolerated by the thick, heavy structures of a person’s lower body. It is better to
be aware of these common sports-related shoulder injuries and knowing their symptoms which helps
to seek medical treatment in time; early treatment intervention could result in a much better outcome
and earlier return to practice and games. So the golden rule is that the awareness of common
shoulder injuries and how they occur is also the first step in prevention.
