The aim of the present research work was to find out the diversity of fishes in Saprar dam Mauranipur tehsil Jhansi district (U.P.). Fishes were collected from the dam with the help of local trained fisherman and fish farmers from different location of the dam for one year during January 2017- December 2017. During the study period January 2017 to December 2017, 19 fish species belonging to 17 Genara, 8 families and 6 orders were identified. Among 19 fish species cyprinidae family dominant with 8 species. The study will provide information of fish diversity, there is no database available of the present study. Saprar dam give ichthyofaunal diversity of Mauranipur tahsil Jhansi district and as well as Uttar Pradesh, India.
