The accumulation of paper waste as landfills causes serious environmental issues all over the world. The construction industry consumes a large amount of resources, resulting in a high demand for construction materials. On the other hand, more waste paper ends up in landfill or dump sites than those recycled. An experimental study was carried out by utilising waste paper in manufacturing of concrete bricks which is a new innovation composite material. Experiments were conducted on compression strength, weight, water absorption characteristics subjected to sun dried and at water cured at different curing period. According to the test reports, using paper in concrete provides good strength and toughness, as well as a significant weight reduction and low thermal conductivity.
